Artistic residency project in retirement homes.

In physical theatre, object manipulation and movement.

Performing arts laboratory culminating in a public presentation.

This project aims to engage and connect with elderly citizens. It is an activity with strong local roots.

It combats isolation, builds social connections, while providing access to seniors and retirement homes to cultural activities.


Goals, among others:

★ to create a space for sharing and respect.

★ to listen to the voices of seniors.

★ to highlight their wealth of life experience.

Elderly will, among others:

★ Reconnect with their body. Expand their range of motion. Strengthen their stability, motor skills and independence

★ Improve their emotional state

★ Develop their creativity

This project is led by the director and choreographer Jordi L. Vidal.
During 2 consecutive weeks, 4 or 5 days per week, Jordi carry out performing arts workshops with the residents in their personal room and /or in a common activity room.
As a result, a performance is created with them. It will also perform by them in front of an audience.

This is a unique and inclusive opportunity to experience the process of creating and presenting a performance in a way that respects each participant's personality, wishes and needs while maintaining high standards of quality and commitment.
